Biomass pellet fuel standard and specific detection method

HOME > News

For biomass pellet fuels, there are many standards and specific testing methods to judge whether the quality is good or bad. Here we briefly introduce several common standards and testing methods.

Moisture: less than 15%.

Manual inspection: During the production period, the quality inspectors regularly (once per hour) to the production site for quality inspection. If the wood chips are found to be loose, the surface is rough, and the cracks are obvious, the hand is light and brittle, and the palm of the hand can be clearly felt. Moist and sweaty indicates that the wood pellets are too moist. The quality inspector should order the operator on duty to return the wood pellets to processing. And remind the operator to pay attention to adjust the moisture of the raw materials.

Instrument testing: Before the production of packaging every day, the quality inspector went to the workshop to carry out sampling inspection of the wood pellets. If the water is not qualified, return to processing. And remind the operator to pay attention to adjust the moisture of the raw materials. Note: After the manual inspection, the instrument inspection guarantees at least two quality inspections per production shift.

Breaking rate: particles less than 8%, block less than 10%, length: less than 2D.

Manual inspection: During the production period, the quality inspectors regularly (once per hour) to the production site for quality inspection. If it is found that the wood chips are obviously broken, broken particles, scales (blocks), and a hand is used to hold a fuel. It can be clearly felt that the palm of the hand and the broken slag of the finger joint fall, indicating that the broken rate of the wood chip is too high. The quality inspector should order the operator on duty to return the wood pellets to the screen. If there are too many fragments and the length is too long, they will return to processing. And remind the operator to adjust the equipment (cutter) and raw materials (low moisture will cause the rate of breakage increased).

Instrument testing: Before the production of packaging every day, the quality inspector goes to the workshop to carry out screening and sampling of the wood pellets. If the breaking rate is unqualified, it will be returned to processing and packaging is strictly prohibited. Note: After the manual inspection, the instrument inspection guarantees at least two quality inspections per production shift. The quality inspector shall issue a certificate of conformity to the quality inspection qualified product or affix the official seal of the quality inspection. At the same time, the quality inspection result shall be recorded, and the qualified product shall indicate the inspection time and the production batch.
